Maybelline Lash Expansion Mascara - Review

For some reason, I'm a sucker for Maybelline mascara and have been using Volum' Express since they came out with it. I like it more than the expensive brands and get better results.

I was in a hurry and the store was out of my usual brownish-black color in Volum' Express. Not willing to wait or go to another store, I purchased Maybelline Lash Expansion mascara for a quick-fix.

Not only is the formula for mascara important, but also the wand used for application. I instantly loved the wand because it was tapered at the end, allowing me to reach the eyelashes in the inner corners of my upper and lower eyelids. Not being able to reach my finer lashes was an problem I had before, but didn't give it much thought at the time.

Lash Expansion lengthened and separated all of my lashes, making them appear longer -- without clumping. It worked well for a "stand-in" mascara but ultimately, I ended up going back to my favorite, Volum' Express.

Lash Expansion didn't seem to dry quite as completely (as Volum' Express) and sometimes went gummy on me -- however, I still like the wand on Lash Expansion better. Overall, I think the Volum Express mascara formula is better.
