Taking Care of Your Inner Beauty
What defines beauty? As the saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. But what does that really mean? How big of a part does outward appearance play? Why are women judged on how they look?
If commercials and magazine ads are any indication, beauty and self-worth are exclusive to one another. But beyond that, we know that inner beauty plays a much more important role to relationships and self-esteem. Beauty is more than what you see on the outside, it’s the epitome of self and all things appealing. So what does inner beauty look like?
While physical beauty catches the eye, inner beauty catches the soul. By taking care of yourself, you’re nurturing your beauty. Inner beauty is personality, humor, love, empathy, caring, manners, intelligence, and values. We all want to be beautiful but no person can be truly beautiful without the sense of self and loving yourself for who you are.
Trust yourself. Take time for yourself. Nurture your inner and outer self. Meditate. Smile. Stay positive. Your well-being depends on it. Most of all, appreciate beautiful YOU.
